How can I activate my Free Listings?

This article explains how to activate disapproved Free Listings.

Updated over a month ago

If your Free Listings are disapproved and you see the ‘CSS not selected for this destination’ error in your Merchant Center, this blog article including an video will guide you through the steps to resolve the issue. Starting from step 3 in the video and blog, we’ll guide you through the solution.

Important Note: The steps shown in the video/blog are specific to Merchant Centers under Google CSS. You won't be able to replicate them within the Merchant Center account now linked to Producthero CSS.

You should create a new empty account and from there you'll be able to follow the steps explained in the blog article/video.

Will having two accounts claiming the same website cause any problems?
No, you won't face any problems from having two accounts claiming the same website. While Google may send you warning messages about claiming the domain for the new Merchant Center and how it might impact your Shopping Campaigns, you can safely proceed with claiming your website URL without any concerns for your Producthero Merchant Center.

Why did my Free Listings get disapproved?
Your Free Listings will be disapproved in your Merchant Center if there are multiple Merchant Centers associated with the same domain. Google automatically selects the Merchant Center with the most uploaded products for Free Listings. There might also be Merchant Centers linked to your domain that you aren't aware of or don't have access to. In such cases, a CSS might be running Shopping ads on your behalf using their own campaigns. You can find out more about how to determine if other CSS partners are advertising for your web-shop in this article: What?! A CSS is advertising on behalf of me with Product Listing Ads.
