Making the Producthero Labels available in Google Ads
Updated over a week ago

In Advertising, each product gets a label (Heroes, Sidekicks, Zombies, Villains). Such a label has to be in a Custom Label in the Merchant Center to be able to use them in your Google Ads campaigns. To do this, 2 steps need to be taken:

  1. Adding the Producthero supplemental source in the Merchant Center

  2. Selecting a Custom Label for the Producthero Advertising Labels

Watch our video explaining how to do this, or follow the steps in this guide.

Step 1: Adding the Producthero supplemental source in the Merchant Center

It is necessary to create a Producthero supplemental source, as the optimizations you do in the Producthero Platform, will be put in your Merchant Center through this Producthero supplemental source.

Note: The Producthero supplemental source covers data of all tools, meaning that you only need to create a Producthero supplemental source once (for each Merchant Feed label /language).

Guide: Producthero supplemental source set up

Start by copying the Producthero supplemental source URL by clicking on the “Copy Feed” button. This button can be found in every tool, such as in Advertising like the image below shows.

Login to your merchant account (merchants.google.com)

  1. Select Feeds in the left sidebar

  2. Click ADD SUPPLEMENTAL SOURCE

  3. Add the name of the feed

    1. We are going to name it Heroshop PH supplemental source GB/en

  4. Select Scheduled fetch

  5. Click Continue

  6. Add a name for the feed file

    1. We are going to name it “Heroshop PH supplemental source GB/en” as well

  7. Set the Fetch time

  8. Add the URL of the supplemental source (you can copy it from the Platform, by clicking the button Copy Feed)

  9. Click Continue

  10. Select the country + language you’ve created the labels for

  11. Click Create Feed

You’re all done! The data will be fetched on a daily basis.

Step 2: Selecting a Custom Label for the Producthero Advertising Labels

Go to Advertising and click on Feed Settings.

Click on Enable in feed

Select an empty Custom Label. If they are all in use, you need to empty one first, before you can save the Producthero labels on it.

Click on Save Feed Settings.

You’re done! You can now translate the Producthero labels into your Google Ads Campaigns.

After your feed has been fetched in the Merchant Center, your products overview will look something like this:
